The summer season has arrived. Hurrah!! That means the next few months will be filled with cookouts, community festivals, and summer re-runs. If you spent the cold winter months shuttered in your home it is high-time for you to step outside and reacquaint yourself with the outdoors.
Now is the perfect opportunity to get yourself together and find that special someone who can snuggle with you when winter returns. I have three simple suggestions you can start doing NOW to increase your chances of finding love:

1. Add color to your wardrobe. This can be as simple as adding a tops in bright colors that flatter your skin tone. Some shade of pink will work well for most women. Accessories like necklaces and belts are another way to add pops of color to your look.
2. Dust off your dating profile. Now is a great time to give your profiles on various websites and apps an overhaul. This includes updating your picture to be season appropriate (add pictures of you participating in summertime activities) and revamp your ?All about me? sections to include things related to how you plan to spend your summer. This give your prospective date an up-to-date glimpse of you and can give your future suitors ideas for dates.
3. Find events through Meet-up or other social websites to attend. Meet-up is a great way to learn about the happenings in your city and to meet like-minded people who share the same interests as you. A colleague of mine met his wife at a game night hosted through a Meet-up group. In Chicago where I live a company called Now You Know Events hosts an events calendar. The calendar lists festivals, charity events, and networking events among other things. Many of the events on this site can be attended solo. I have attended several Meet-ups on my own and even though I didn?t make a love connection I was able to expose myself to new experiences and grow as an individual.
